Review on Raspberry Pi 4 Touchscreen Display Case with 7-Inch Monitor: NeeGo by Terrance Duncan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ok but there are better cases for about the same price

I probably would have been "happy" with this case if I hadn't bought the SmartiPi case sooner. Happiness is perhaps too strong a word. I would probably see "okay with this case". Maybe I'm just spoiled after the other. This case seems thinner and cheaper. Besides, the camera mount is just a slot to install the camera board. The other has a place to mount it inside the case, as well as 3 different covers (2 for use with the camera and 1 without it). The angle to it is not adjustable. It's not really a problem for me as it only works for occasional direct use as a server, but it would be nice to have one for those times. The other also includes 2 USB power splitter cables with separate outputs for RPi and LCD. One has 2x Micro-USB (RPi 3 + LCD) and 1x USB-C + 1x Micro (RPi4 + LCD). Not to mention that the LCD is mounted upside down. While the display can be reoriented for configuration changes, it also means the cables come out the top. And finally, the other comes with a small fan that attaches to the case. All the little things add up to a nicer case. When it becomes available again, I'll probably change the case.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
