
So I soaked them in cold water for 10 minutes or more as instructed. When I took them out of the water to put them on the pots, I squeezed them to remove the excess water. One of them began to blush. After the cupcakes were finished I saw what was inside was bleeding all over the ribbon. Not sure why this happened. I'm not sure what this one has that the other doesn't have. The sizes between them are about half an inch different. Using it on a 9 inch pan made no difference. Both were wrapped around the entire perimeter of the pan. I baked with an aluminum pan and a springform pan. with a flat baking strip on top. The darker springform pan took an additional five minutes to bake but came out very flat.
