Smelly - I was sick.
I ordered this filter on May 1st and received it on the 8th. It smelled weird but I thought it would dissipate so I installed it and let it run for a few days but it never got better. It smelled horribly like oil rigs in Southern California. I was nauseous and my head hurt. I called Honeywell and they sent me a package to send back all my air filters and filters so they could figure out what was wrong. I've had this air purifier for a few years now and have never had any problems. In fact, this is the best little air purifier I've ever bought. The number on the bottom of the box is 00918SCP. I don't know if it's a batch or just a box. I will use this air purifier again but with clean filters.
