Review on 🐦 Birds LOVE Cotton Rope Comfy Cable Perch (1) - Perfect for African Greys, Amazons, and Similar Sized Birds - 23.5" Length by Karen Avance

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Length as described (14.5 inch span)

I noticed that some reviewers have complained that their ropes are not the specified length. I don't know any other sizes, but mine fits perfectly. I ordered a 15.75" perch. If you measure the outside of the caps it's about the same length (actually more like 16"). But the *useful* length, i.e. the distance between the bases of the connectors (i.e. the maximum Distance a rope can stretch and still be attached to the cage at both ends) is actually only about 14.5 inches, as shown in one of the drawings. Photos provided by the manufacturer, and is also listed as the first item in the description .(In my photo the tape measure is a little under 14.5 but that's because I couldn't keep the rope taut during the shoot.) The quality of the rope is ok Caps unscrew easily Inside the rope is a wire to make it stiff. Only ΒΎ" thick as advertised. I got this for sun catching, I know I love this size of rope, but it will also be the right gauge for larger birds (revains, grays, small ones cockatoos) hab en, as long as they also have thicker perches to choose from. It is too small for a very large bird (macaw, great cockatoo) except perhaps for occasional use, and too large for very small birds (parrots, finches) unless they have another smaller perch to choose from. I'm happy with it and would get it again.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity
