I replaced the rear brake pads on my BMW 328i with these in no time following the YouTube video. The gauge read another 4,500 miles, but dealer measurements said it might not be that long. They listed $460 to replace just one worn page. I removed the wheel and it seemed close enough to warrant a replacement just to be on the safe side. I had a painful squeak for 3 years and it got worse. I apply lube to areas that rub other areas as directed on the packaging. I was very happy with the result, no squeaks and very smooth braking. The rotors were still smooth so I didn't do anything to them. Mileage was 67000 and it was the first change. I actually only replaced the passenger side which was left with a sensor and thin gasket as the driver's side was still thick. Of course, this side can wear out before new pads are put on, and I'll have to take measurements at the dealer when he does oil changes and multi-point checks in the future.
