Review on Durable & Dependable: Tuff Truck Bag - Waterproof Heavy Duty Solution by Alton Walton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great waterproof bag BUT.

Just got back from using the bag for the first time. On the outgoing two-day trip, there was moderate to heavy rain on both days. On the way back it rained lightly to moderately for part of the day. In all cases the contents were absolutely DRY - not a drop of moisture in the bag. Bag made of hard-wearing, polyurethane-like synthetic material, high-quality workmanship. The seams are sewn and taped. All corners where the rings are located are reinforced with canvas strapping. The hole is at one end and closes with a large, durable metal zipper. The zipper is quite difficult to open and close, but it works. With that said and a five star rating, this bag may not be for everyone. The opening is large enough for anything that fits in the bag BUT it is very difficult to load the bag. The bag is not fixed in any way and things don't slide into the bag well. Also, once filled, the bag does not fit well in the bed of a truck. I had two large storage containers, a heavy flat box, a few suitcases, and other small items. I ended up having to place the item in the bag, then reach into the side of the bag and manually arrange the items in place. Not everyone can and wants to do that. Since the bag offers no protection against theft or theft, I figured it would be best to unload and secure the contents every night and reload every morning. I love this bag and on my recent trip it was a real find but you should be aware of the issues and limitations.
