Review on Smart Battery Charger/Maintainer with Engine Start - 2/10/25A, 12V | Fully Automatic | Cable Clamps by Dennis Reed

Revainrating 4 out of 5

There is no on/off switch. at Tools & Equipment

I would give this charger 5 stars if there weren't 2 negative points.1. There is no 110v AC switch. You must disconnect it from 110V to turn it off or reset the charger. Even without a load, an arc occurs in the plug, which ultimately leads to the deterioration of the contacts of the plug or socket.2. That's overpriced. Should be $10 less for this product as is. Eliminate point 1 above and it will be the best value for money. Advantages. Overall this is a good charger that looks well built and still performs as advertised. My high-end test gauges show that the correct voltage and current is being applied to the battery to automatically determine the state of charge. Clips and wires are good size and quality. Note. Like ALL digital chargers, this charger will not detect a fully discharged battery (less than 2 volts) and will say "Please attach clamps". Solution. Connect a 6V to 12V battery in parallel (+ to + and - to -) to the dead battery. This will trick the charger into detecting the minimum voltage required and it will start charging. At this point, be sure to disconnect the donor battery.

Pros

Cons
