Excellent thermos for the office

I received this thermos instead of a glass bottle which I accidentally dropped and broke. I was worried about all the bad reviews but I'm still glad I got this thermos. I've been using this thermos almost daily for over a year now. It won't break if you drop it. I smash it on concrete like the Hulk? nope I drop it on the wooden floor in the kitchen, the tiled floor in the workplace, the floor in the car (yes, I'm that clumsy). No leakage, no breakage. Would I put it upside down in a backpack with securities? mmm no That's what side pockets are for. You know those ones who keep water bottles upright and away from their stuff? Will it spill if it slides on its side while I'm lugging a bunch of junk in the car? nope No leakage. Let's stick to realistic expectations. I can brew loose tea in this thing without getting stems/leaves. The basket in this thing sucks and filters out the smallest particles so well that I use it in my kettles when I brew at home. The heat retention in this thermos is amazing! In fact, I had to leave the thermos uncovered for about 10 minutes so my tea could be drunk while I commuted to work. Because almost boiled water keeps that temperature for about 2 hours, which means I can't drink it in those 2 hours because it's too hot for me. At the end of my 9 hours at work? The tea is still slightly warm, not quite warm. The internal plastic is hopelessly dirty at this point, but I'm not trying too hard. I just take everything apart and throw it in the dishwasher. If tea stains bother you that much, try soaking it in baking soda overnight. Scratch a little and those spots should be gone. The problem is all those nooks and crannies that you need to clean. Maybe a good Q tip? Uh, too much work. I will live with tea stains. Is there paint chipping? Oh yeah. The bottom of my thermos is no longer completely varnished. However, you don't know how to look at it since it didn't happen on the sides. Just the bottom. I don't mind at all. Not when he's doing his job so well: keeping my tea warm in his portable container. I take this thermos with me on all my travels and trips, both domestic and domestic. I wouldn't take it on a wilderness survival or mountaineering trip. But it will be waiting for you in a hotel room, cabin or cup holder and will work great. My thermos is still alive and makes my day that little bit happier with every sip.
