Great for sealing cracks in plaster
I have used regular latex sealant to seal cracks in plaster in the past but the sealed area always looked too smooth. It has medium grit sand that you can use to pick up the texture of the plaster. I applied it and then went over it with a wet sponge. Don't skip the wet sponge step if you want it to fit. Looks great after painting and fits perfectly. It also rinses off easily with water.
