Great for sealing cracks in plaster

I have used regular latex sealant to seal cracks in plaster in the past but the sealed area always looked too smooth. It has medium grit sand that you can use to pick up the texture of the plaster. I applied it and then went over it with a wet sponge. Don't skip the wet sponge step if you want it to fit. Looks great after painting and fits perfectly. It also rinses off easily with water.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

BAD for hairline cracks in plaster. GOOD for wide plaster cracks.

DO NOT use for fine cracks in plaster. The product is not suitable for fine cracks in plaster. The product will work for several months and then the crack will return and the product itself will break. This product only works for large gaps. If you have a large gap that this product fits in, it works well. Do not place this product over a thin crack as this will not work. I learned it the hard way.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

An excellent product that really complements the original grout

I am impressed with the consistency of the material of the product. Although it's primarily a sand sealer, it's a lot easier to work with than other sealers, holds up great, and overall feels a lot more like a grout or grout than I thought it would. As they claim it can fill much larger gaps without a support rod, although I used support material in most places. It also looks exactly like the beige grout used in my stone house - it's very hard to tell it apart from the original grout. Good…

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Crumpled

So far so good in tile grout

Florida is the sink capital of the United States. The houses will be more occupied than in most places in America. This causes cracks in the plaster that must be repaired immediately. Otherwise, water will seep in behind and cause the wooden frame to swell, causing further cracks and damage to the plaster. This product has a grainy texture with the fluidity of a sealant. It claims to be flexible when dry. So far, so good. The wall we installed is also exposed to the hot and scorching Florida…

The best product for exterior plaster / plaster repair.

Bought to repair microcracks in my layer of plaster (like plaster) on the house. I used about 20 tubes so I have little experience. I've found that using thin tape and flattening it out with a putty knife works great. The knife dries up, use this part for other cracks or wipe with a paper towel. Looks great after painting. It seems to take a few days to "cure" properly, although due to time constraints I actually painted some areas in just a day and it still seemed to cure well under the paint.
