Unless you need scrap metal. Avoid those calipers! The markings are NOT accurate, making them completely useless. Edit: Oops. I forgot to mention that there are VISIBLE GAPS even between the measurement faces causing tolerance problems, too big even for a kid physics lesson. I wanted something cheap for some book work, but cheap ones exist, and there's a whole other level of CHEAP (these are the last ones) and they're kind of inferior to my battered 5+ year old polymers, which are about the same cost. These are as useful calipers as a used toilet paper roll is new. I would say you get what you pay for but honestly I wouldn't have bought them even for a dime if I knew they were that bad. I think I'll try to cut it up and weld it together into something really useful. .
