Nice product but make sure you can securely mount it

Cliff Notes used to have a note - Not a substitute for reading the book. In the same way this should have a note, not a substitute for a real screen door. But if a real screen door is not an option this works fairly well.We have it on a wooden door frame in our house and it went up pretty quickly. Just peel off the stickers and paste up the velcro. And then it fell down. So we added the enclosed tacks and they held for a few weeks. Then it fell down again. So we'll be adding more tacks tonight.I don't blame the manufacturers. We have toddlers who love tugging on it and even when they don't, they still pull and yank when going through. That being said the actual mesh of the door has not torn, it seems really well made.So if you don't have small kids or pets I would give this five stars, otherwise take the time and reinforce the velcro and even then be ready for it to sometimes fall.If you don't have a wooden door frame or tacks are not an option, this probably is not for you. Even without the kids I doubt the tape alone would hold. And if you have cats or dogs. I would expect this to shredded in days.EDIT - We've had it up for almost a year and once I put in a full set of tacks it held nicely, even with our toddlers.

Pros
  • It really is indestructible. I’m amazed.
Cons
  • The self-sealing magnets may not work well in windy conditions
