Love this microscope! My kids and I have great fun with it. The best part is the ability to take pictures and videos of what you're watching. My son used the photos for his science homework. My only complaint (and the only reason I gave this product 4 stars and not 5) is that the software is buggy. The software interface is friendly and kid-friendly, but one of my computers crashed (blue screen). The microscope would work fine, then out of nowhere the blue screen of death would appear and the whole system would have to be rebooted. So I connected it to another computer and the program crashed when I tried to save the movie to my hard drive. However, on the second computer I can just restart the program and it saves the movie and works fine. Otherwise it's just annoying having to restart the program every time I save a movie. Both of my machines are high-end computers with Windows XP in good condition. About a month ago I emailed tech support about [.] about these software issues and never got a reply. I haven't tried phone support. But not impressed with email support. I don't understand why a tech company wouldn't use email support instead of phone support like I do, but still. Software issues aside, I like this product and there's a good chance the software will work fine on a PC with a different configuration. However, I hope that Digital Blue will update the software soon.
