I use grinders to cut glass or tile first and I had to do some study before drilling my first ceramic tiles. Despite the fact that these bits work in an impact driver, it's important to use a conventional, non-impact drill bit to avoid cracking the tiles. It's also useful to move slowly and use water so the racket doesn't get too hot. Some materials don't need to be cooled, but with glass and solid tile the drill bit gets heated and that helped me to have a spray gun to use while drilling. It creates a mess but the results are good and I'm happy. Drilling glass, tile, etc. is a lot more tiring than drilling a tree, but if you're not in a hurry, these drill bits will handle it perfectly. I have no experience with other bits for drilling glass so can't compare but these seem to be of good quality. I can't help but stress that you need to move slowly and not overheat the bits. This set comes with 8 different sized nozzles and I didn't notice them dull after the first few holes. I would say they are suitable for the average person who needs to drill multiple holes in the tile or glass in their home. I have not attempted to drill metal or wood with these bits, I have other clubs for that. I really think they will work on a brick but personally I will only leave them for glass and especially tile and so far I have been very careful not cracking the tile. I'm probably going too slow, but as this is only for my own home the time it takes doesn't matter and I'd rather play it safe than regret it. I am happy with these bits and expect them to last some time with regular use around my house.
