Review on πŸ”§ SÜA Oxygen and Acetylene V350 Regulators Combo: Ultimate Precision and Performance by David Golden

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Leak and terrible sensor!

Nice controller and reasonable price. . .unfortunately the fitting leaked when I connected it to my oxygen tank no matter how tight I tightened it! My 40 year old regulator had no problems with a leaking connector (new connector on the tank head). I don't know if the spec is different, but it looks the same. . So I removed the OLD fitting from my OLD regulator and with a LOT of effort I was able to unscrew the fitting on the new regulator and replace it with my old fitting and that solved THIS problem. THEN I realized that the SCALE on the second stage regulator going to my burner was useless. It has an INSIDE scale and an OUTSIDE scale. I mistakenly assumed that the scale going from ZERO to 16 was PSI, which is about as high as I have with my O2 pressure on my burner. NOT CORRECT! THIS IS A BAR! The PSI scale has gone up to 225 PSI! Who in their right mind would put that kind of pressure on an Oxy/Acet!? So I went back to my old regulator which was several decades old, removed the pressure gauge and at a BIG expense adjusted it back to a NEW regulator with a much more convenient PSI scale. How painful. I would just send it back but I need to use my flashlight to get it working. . .what a waste. . Don't buy this piece of shit!
