Ok, let's get to the camera info: First of all, yes, it records 360°. use it in pools, on the beach and everywhere. However, the design of the software leaves a lot to be desired. Before I continue, you need to insert two MicroSD cards into this camera. I recommend at least 64GB as the files can get quite large. Both MicroSD cards contain videos/images from the same single camera, *but* on both cards neither card will have a combined version of the videos/images it produces. GoPro Fusion requires you to use either a stitching program* or* GoPro Fusion Studio. I will return to the basic applications later. So installation. Default. Charge it up and it can take 360 video and photos. The included camera tripod is good but very short (2ft is enough if you put it on a table). It works great as a selfie stick or desk mount, but you'll want to get a good 4-6ft tripod with a GoPro screw mount if you intend to put it on the floor. It also comes with a 3M curved and straight mount if you want to place it on your dashboard or helmet. These sticky mounts from 3M are cool but not removable. If you always mount your 360° camera on the surface, it's worth it. Otherwise, if you're doing anything like 360-degree shots from a car, I highly recommend getting a suction cup mount. Now I will continue with the basic GoPro app. It connects about 6 times out of 10 and when it connects you have about 120 seconds before the GoPro app freezes the image. After 3 reconnects, GoPro Fusion disconnects 100% of connections even while video is being recorded. The bottom line is that the GoPro app is for setup, not monitoring. In-app stitching is standard and the only thing you can do with Stitched Pictures/Video is post them on Facebook. You can't even download stitched images/videos to your local Android device to use in other apps, which is annoying. Moving on to GoPro Fusion Studio for PC, I can tell you that this app needs some work. . It may sew, but that's all you have to do. GoPro Fusion has a *very* horrible time determining the actual stable horizon by distorting the video after loading. If you need to correct the horizon line I would suggest dragging the composite image/video into your favorite 3D image/video editor (I use Adobe Premiere CC) to adjust the horizon. The base app doesn't help you to fix the horizon line as it was created for a 2D image with 3D targets. There's no trick to this, it's just that GoPro Fusion isn't recording the leveling point or the GoPro Fusion app isn't reading the leveling horizon properly. Despite all of that, I can tell you that it can keep the *same* horizon line in the video app for the entire video (if you turn on full stabilization), meaning you don't have to worry about manually selecting the horizon line. This iteration is somewhat lacking in image and video quality. A 5.2k image *sounds* cool as a stat, but not so much in practice. Keep in mind that this image is stretched around a 360 degree image, which means your pixels are about 2.8 times the size of a regular 5.2k image. If you are somewhere under sunlight, forget it. The ISO sensor they put in these GoPros is terrible. Will there be a video/photo? Of course. However, be prepared for some pretty bad low ISO static throughout the image. If you're not getting a good image at 1600 ISO I'd recommend just turning Fusion off as the max ISO is *really* bad. I think it's a good first 360 camera from a 360 manufacturer, but no more. If you're considering a 360 photography hobby, I'd suggest something with a higher resolution and better ISO sensor.
