Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Hobson Pro Hub X2 Saddle: The Ultimate Black Bike Seat Solution by Brian Weese

Revainrating 5 out of 5

NOT a pro, but not bad - Sits high, creaks, staggers, rides back.

Update: 4/4/2016 Something I don't think others have mentioned. He stands tall. If you look at the photos posted by other reviewers, you can see that the mounting hardware is between 1.5 and 2 inches. If your previous seatpost is already all the way down, this will force you to sit higher. So make sure you have a pair to lower your seatpost. And it started to creak when I drove it. Now the landing gear is mostly plastic and the plastic squeak doesn't feel good. How quickly do stress cracks appear? I like this idea and it is absolutely right. the simplest parts of every seat I've tried. But the wobbling, squeaking, and difficulty in getting it to stick is still too much for me. I may have just received a broken one, but I'll try a different brand or model next time. FIRST POSTI thought it for my MTB where I spend 30% of my time climbing rough trails. That's a lot of maneuvering in and out of the seat, standing, and bending over. You can do it in this seat if you try, but it's weird. To be honest, it REALLY does what it says it does. The moment I sat on it - no pressure on my privates - exactly what is stated. In fact the best of my two low pressure seats, the other seat is an old Serfas that has hardened from impacts. As mentioned in other posters, this seat moves as you peddle. My biggest "minus" is that it's hard to force myself to quit. I am a 200 lb male, 6ft 2in tall with a long inseam. I took it off my mountain bike and put it on a beach cruiser. However, he moves more than I would like. Just when you lean back a little it unexpectedly reclines a little and I would imagine an inexperienced rider falling backwards if they don't hold on to the handlebars, after all you want to relax on a beach cruiser, not think about reclining your seat . After all, the old seat wasn't so bad after all, with the right attitude and clothing. I'll probably leave the Pro Hub x2 on the beach cruiser and not lean back too much. As others have said, it really reduces pressure and numbness to zero.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Questionable senior purchase
