Saved my plumbing bill

My daughter turned off my outdoor freeze hydrant and didn't think it was off so she pulled it again. She broke the valve stem off the coupler that attaches the plug to the wall of my house. The copper rod was pulled out and you could see the weld where it had just come loose. I found this product and thought I'd give it a try before attempting to take the whole faucet off the wall and possibly pay the plumbing bill and possible drywall and painting work around the house if something goes wrong. . I took some fine sandpaper and sanded the end of the rod well, then coated the end well and put it back in place. I half turned and waited. I think the instructions say you can wait about 2 minutes, luckily I waited 10. I turned the faucet handle and the water ran again. I turned off the faucet, then turned off the water to the house, then completely removed the old pole with the plug attached. I poked and struggled to get it to hook before tearing the stop sleeve, so I replaced it with a new shaft/stop piece. I still can't get the connector off the mount so this stuff works pretty well and definitely saved me.
