Review on πŸ”§ Bialetti Replacement Handle for 1 and 2 Cup Moka Express: Fix Your Moka Pot with Ease by Richard Deng

Pribylertsi suitable for kitchen and dining room

After several years of use I only had to buy pads for my Bialetti after which my cream handle finally broke. So I bought an original Bialetti pen and was surprised to see a plastic pen. When did Bialetti switch to a plastic pen? I'm now seeing reviews complaining about the lack of holes. It was a little unexpected, but it wasn't a problem for me. I think they should have at least made an indentation in the mold to show where to drill the hole. I squeeze the handle hard, too hard, now the lid only opens halfway. Anyway, over the course of several weeks of use, the lid keeps opening more and more, which is good, except the plastic has melted! I use natural gas. I have a small burner that has been perfect for many years and I've been careful not to put the pot in the center of the burner but have the handle away from the flame, maybe not always the case but hey it's a Moka pot, I think it's over hot, and sometimes this kitchen gets busy, too busy to bother making coffee. Why should I worry about making coffee? Definitely only a few months of use and you can see that plastic doesn't make a good pen. The handle melts. I almost bought a new pan but now I need to know if the new Bialetti pans have a ceramic or plastic handle. If Bialetti is now using plastic grips, in the future, apparently in the near future, I will switch brands and this pot will end up at the bottom in target shooting.

Pros
  • Original Bialetti parts
Cons
  • No insurance
