Simple and uncomplicated. I have several 100ml bags divided into 3 different reservoirs and they are all crystal clear. Bi-weekly water tests show that ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels are consistently absent. It took me a while to believe that this stuff would work as well as everyone else has described, but then I finally took the plunge a few years ago. and tried it out in an aquarium, not to mention I was shocked at how effective Purigen is. After 120 days of testing in one aquarium, I changed two other tanks and didn't regret it a bit. The material is renewable and theoretically would not need to be replaced, the price is so low that I usually buy new 100ml Purigen bags every summer to replace the bags cleaned and reused the previous year in my aquariums. recommend Purigen to anyone looking for a simple (and renewable) way to control ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels in their aquarium.
