I have no idea how this works on other makes/models of bikes, but on ANY GSXS1000 (and by extension ANY Suzuki that references that model) these levers don't work well with a motorcycle ! I replaced TWO clutch cables in 5100 miles. Both errors were the same. The design of this lever causes wear/friction of the cable as it is pulled back into the grip, causing excessive clutch seat wear and rapid cable wear. The first time left me stuck and then had to wait three weeks because everyone (including Suzuki) hadn't ordered any cables. I ordered two and was ready this time but have since switched to stock levers until my CRGs arrive. The current convention in the GSXS community is that you should get quality (yes, more expensive) leverage from CRG, ASV, Pazzo. etc. Riders with these higher quality levers are NOT reporting abnormal wear. Riders using stock levers report no unusual wear. Full Disclosure: While the design is poor, the build quality (aside from the mediocre anodizing on the button) is actually very good. If these levers were destined for another model in which they correctly defined the design parameters, these levers could be a flashy deal. YMMV. Anyway, hope this prevents someone from being stuck with a broken cable. John
