This radio is great because it perfectly matches your boat's speedometer. You just remove the speedometer (which probably won't work anyway) and put it back. Buy and plug in a soft VHF wire antenna and you'll have great radio reception on the water. Bluetooth works great too. My console and this unit are uncovered or weatherproof and stand up perfectly to rain, salt spray, etc. I did notice condensation inside under the display (I'm in South Florida with high humidity) but it dries quickly.
