Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Premium Aluminum Mountain Bike Pedals - 9/16" Flat Pedals with 4 Bearing Non-Slip Platform for MTB BMX by Patrick Jarvis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Light, grippy and smooth turning, good for the price

Although the platforms could be a bit closer to the crank hubs, they're a nice size, the pins are grippy, the bearings turn very smoothly and the spindle housing doesn't protrude too far out, you can feel it, but it's better than others I've tried. The only thing I'm skeptical about is the flimsy material on the outer ends. For BMX style road riding where the pedals hit the ground a lot and are used as a grinding surface I don't think they will last long with heavy use. Otherwise, I'm still very impressed with the overall quality of the pedals. Update: After a week of use I noticed they were starting to hang loose on the spindles, upon investigating I noticed one of the dust caps was missing. complete, and the other was 3 turns from the same fate. I had some spare pedals lying around and found a dust cap that matched the threads, but the pedal was still loose. Then I realized there was a gasket the cap was meant to press against so I ripped apart another replacement pedal to find a matching gasket, the pedal works fine. I suggest applying blue Loctite to the dust caps to prevent losing the cap and gasket which would render the pedals unusable without the right combination of parts.
