Review on ๐Ÿšด Stay Hydrated on the Move with RavX Belly X Handlebar Water Bottle Cage by Mark Morrow

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Doesn't hold certain bottle shapes well but does a good job overall

Easy to install, looks great, very comfortable for my water bottle (CamelBak with straw and bite tip). Because the straw in my water bottle means I don't have to tilt the base to drink, I just leave the cage bottle on the steering wheel and lean against it to drink when I'm stopped at a red light. I like it. The only problem is that the shape of the cage is designed for a bottle shaped like a regular plastic Poland Spring bottle or other smaller diameter "waist" bottles, not a straight cylinder like mine. I had to bend the cage a bit to fit the bottle (it was tricky so the cage is made out of a strong material which is good) but the bottle still compresses so tight it kinda "boots up" . the cage as i go. Several times when I hit a bump or pothole, the bottle would shift and literally fly out of the cage onto the road. Creepy! I'm afraid to bend the cage more for fear of breaking it, so I just leave it as is and keep an eye on my bottle while riding. However, if you have a narrower water bottle or a bottle with grooves to accommodate the rim of the cage, you might not have this problem at all!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style
