Review on πŸ”Œ 150A Spool Gun, 10 ft Length, 60% Duty Cycle by Yung Kitamura

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I have had a Hobart 210MVP for 3 years.

I have had a Hobart 210MVP for 3 years and this gun is almost the same. The weapon works very well for me. I've used it to repair several thin aluminum boats and boats up to 1/4" with no problem. The easiest way to swap coils is to throw away the instructions and forget about trying to use the impeller release button to run cables through both impellers. Press You press the drive wheel release button while the wire is being fed until it touches the top drive wheel, then release the button and simply pull the torch trigger and the wire will feed over the drive wheels and over the end of the torch, that's right , simply unwind a few inches of wire and insert it until it touches the top wheel, then release the red button and lower the rest of the spool into the gun, but leave the clear plastic spool cover on Then turn on the welder and squeeze the torch, triggering when you rotate the spool with your fingers to fully feed the wire where the on drive wheels grab it and pull it all the way through. Install the transparent cover and weld it. Follow the instructions to adjust the impeller tension. Here is a picture of my two Hobart reel seats, the left one and the heavier one for my 230 Ironman. They both work very well.
