Very durable and useful colander. Much larger and smaller than expected, which goes well with my others (more tapered). It's perfect for cleaning and sorting berries or beans that need to be sorted out. Also for draining pasta that needs a cold rinse for salad (my largest colander has a tendency to tip over and is so squat that risks spilling the contents not easily). I used it recently when freezing broccoli and was very pleased that the holes are small enough that little bits of flower don't get stuck and get in the way when peeling. Might work well with quinoa (definitely cooked), but I haven't tried it because I cook quinoa by the cup and it's awfully big.
