Perfect fit for what I need, light weight yet strong enough to trust with my lights. The welds are clean and the finish is perfect. I recommend using self tapping screws if you have usable metal behind the license plate screws. (Feel with an awl before drilling). Luckily I only had 3 inches of foam and air between the bolt holes and good steel. I also used 30lb Gorilla mounting tape on the rear to reduce vibration and sprayed a few ounces as well. Foam into the cavity behind the license plate brackets. I knew the self-tapping screws would crush the plastic bumper a little under torque, so I wanted some support, hence the foam. Subarus bumpers are designed to flex, so you'll need 3" self-tapping screws to grab the inner bumper. I can also mount it directly under the grille by hooking the bracket to the rear of the steel bumper bracket as the geometry is perfect. I'll probably make it for the winter because a snowdrift would rip the thing apart in a heartbeat. Overall very satisfied, the only criticism is that it is so universal, it is made to fit all license plates, American numbers leave a 1" gap on each side of these brackets.
