Please make sure you understand the design and behavior of this product and determine if it is suitable for your use before purchasing. This product is not a traditional shop vacuum hose design. Vacuum hoses are typically made of flexible PVC formed around a medium gauge wire wrapped in a spiral. This product has a very rigid polyethylene inner shell and a thick outer wire attached to the plastic inner shell. It does not behave dynamically like a freely flexible hose. It either wants to be folded up or fully extended, ie it is bi-stable. When bending, it wants to "buckle" quite a bit at a certain point, rather than extending the bend all the way. Due to its very heavy construction, it's likely to withstand more pressure (internal or external) than more traditional hoses if that's the quality you're looking for. This hose can also be used industrially, as PE hoses are much more chemically resistant than PVC and will not be damaged by PVC-dissolving hydrocarbon solvents. I bought this to connect a handheld vacuum to my large dust collection system. Upon examining the goods, it was immediately clear that they are completely unsuitable for such a purpose. It's just not flexible enough and also very heavy compared to a normal vacuum hose.
