🪵 Woodstock D4202 Clear Hose: 2-Inch by 10-Foot for Efficient Woodworking Needs Review

Used to turn on the dust collection system on my DeWalt contractor saw. Because the knife swings in the 45 degree cutting cabinet, it needs a flexible hose that will retain its original shape when rotated back 90 degrees. Works great since I installed a jigsaw into my combo table/work table. I have no problem with sawdust accumulating in the hose.

Anyone who says that this hose doesn't stay taut is right. What I used it for is a plus, I use it for a tube. To keep it extended you need to tie it up. This is a heavy dusty hose, people trying to use it for a corsa vacuum hose won't work, this hose will serve to connect a permanent installation like uneven connections, for my take this is the best I use can. I wanted it to shrink in most places. So I'm happy.

This hose is supplied folded and prefers to remain folded. I expanded this and within 1 minute it had collapsed again. It is very difficult to stay stretched to put on and clamp the appropriate tube. I've tried unfolding and holding in place and leaving for a day - to no avail. Tried to expand and heat only to melt the plastic. When folded the ID is too small for use on 2-1/2" pipes. Ultimately, I think I need to get something else. I had high hopes for this hose but I will find another use. I originally bought this to connect a band saw, belt sander and drill to a dust collection system, but this hose is very stiff. He does NOT want to stay stretched and in place. I had to ask one of the kids to hold it while I tied the tie around it. which broke part of the rib on the hose and entered where the air was sucked in through that tiny hole. OK I've been trying to love this stuff but it's awful! I don't usually say such bad things about products but I was so disappointed with this one. The hose is thick and should last a while. It's not the durability area that makes this so terrible. It's in the usefulness of the hose. It will NOT stay expanded and has very high strength to return to its collapsed state. Anyone who thinks that this hose is suitable for a vacuum cleaner in the shop is right and wrong.
