Review on πŸ”Œ Dorman 741-430 Front Driver Side Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly (OE FIX) for Ford Models - Black by Michael Briggs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Right Side for 2004 F150 SuperCab XLT

I bought this for my 2004 F150 SuperCab XLT. This is exactly the part that fits this truck. As others have said, removing the door panel took longer than removing a faulty regulator, and replacing the door panel took longer than installing a new regulator. The ESC I received had a pigtail to connect between the ESC harness and the truck harness. This is required on 2004-early 2005 models in order for the glass to function in the correct direction with the power window switch. Advice that can help you not to worry when testing your new regulator. When I installed the regulator and pressed the window glass against the regulator rail, I wanted to test the operation of the regulator and window switch before installing the door panel. I stuck the harness pin into the door panel switch assembly, pushed the button and nothing. No up, no down, nothing. key activated? Check. Try again, nothing. The driver's side armrest panel also has a "lock" button for the power window control I think, which is why other passengers, kids, dogs, hostages, whoever, can't roll down the window and jump out. I connected this contact switch and everything worked fine. Everything's OK again. I only gave it four stars because it's a new setup, but I've used Dorman ESCs on two other cars in the last few years and they still work well. By the way, when I checked with local brick and mortar stores, the same piece from Dorman was $150 (or more) "we can get it in a day." Sorry guys, I'll be waiting a few more days for $80 . I ordered on Tuesday evening, he came to my house in So. Cal Friday morning. Gladly again and weatherproof.
