This DVR/NVR is easy to install and setup. Installing the hard drive took about 2 minutes. The device guided me through the initial setup when I started it for the first time. The device's Android app was a bit confusing, but I registered the device on the third try. But once I run it, it works very well. It is advertised as an 8-channel DVR/NVR. It's actually channel 10. It's limited to a maximum of 8 analog cameras, but I can add up to 2 additional digital cameras. I can use up to 10 digital cameras as long as the total number of cameras does not exceed 10. All analogue and digital cameras record and can be viewed simultaneously. Perfect! I currently have a mix of both technologies installed in this device and it works like a champ. Motion detection can be activated for each camera. It works well with zone management. I can be emailed when motion is detected and the email can be configured to include snapshots! 3 snapshots for each event and I can set how many seconds elapse between each snapshot. With the application of this device, I can view all connected cameras on my phone from anywhere where there is internet access. The video I'm watching is clean and clear. This device has a modern HTTP access interface, so I can configure this DVR/NVR with my PC through any browser on my computer. without downloading third-party software. I have full control of the display and customization through an interface that's easier to use than the device console. I can also view and download the recorded video from the device and save the video to my PC's hard drive. The device gives me MPG video.
