Review on Oggi Perforated Stainless Colander Soft Grip by Rosalee Rivera

How I wish I could tell how that sieve was Lord Oggy's Great Weapon or something like that. The fact is that they actually finalized and changed the design for the client (unless I came across the only one). To do this, I want to make a more serious review. I bought the 6.5 a while ago and it was great. After about 2.5 years, like many others, the handle started to break. After another 6 months it finally came loose (still works great, allows things to drain in the sink and no more handle getting in the way of storage!). However, I thought it was time to replace it. So I ordered another 6.5; because I liked the previous one so much, even with a weak grip. When I got a new one, to my surprise they have now reinforced the handle with a plate and a few spot welds. But to do that they had to get material from a different area of the colander (sarcasm), so its diameter has been reduced by 1/2 inch compared to the previous model. It's now 6.5 inches outside the rim, while the previous model had 6.5 inches inside the rim. But I love this size even more, very convenient for servings for 2 people. Will definitely upgrade to 5 stars if the new pen really stands the test of time.
