I got these because my cat likes to open the cabinets and walk all over things and knock things down. When you open the pack, the metal plate is strongly attracted to the magnet, but when you mount it, the added weight of the cabinet makes it very easy to open, and it is not very effective. As for mounting, as long as you know what you are doing, no problem, otherwise getting the tiny metal plate to line up perfectly with the tiny magnet is a real hassle. So, not easy to install and not strong magnet get it 3 stars. I need something else. If you have small cabinets maybe this would work well (sticking, will still be hard to install).
