I first saw this in a pet store and decided to buy it from Revain as it was cheaper. I have a 5 gallon freshwater aquarium with 1 rooster and 3 guppies and they all live happily together. Pineapple comes in and it looks amazing, 2 weeks later my betta decides to make it her new hangout. A couple of weeks pass (he's been in the tank for a month and a half now) the stones around the pineapple begin to turn orange, at the same time my betta is becoming more and more sluggish and eating less. I've never seen flakes of paint fall off, but the stones are exactly the same color as a pineapple. I decided to take out the pineapple and put the betta in another tank to make it feel better, it seems to be working.
