My mask is not designed to use this lens. The lens is made out of fairly thick, durable plastic, which is probably because I was prescribed a 2.5 reader. I'm not sure if the lens will help me either, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. So I had to adjust the lens. The height was perfect but the width is a little too big. I used a Dremel sanding drum to slowly remove enough plastic from the edges to fit in my auto-darkening insert. Then I used black tape around the edges to secure it. There is no visual distortion and I have a full view with no obstructions. The magnification is perfect and even slightly larger than my reading glasses. I hope this helps to see the welds.
