I was ready to give away this ultra-thin classic slot design External CD Drives DVD Type-C, Plug and Play USB-C CD Drives DVD-RW Burner for Macbook Pro Dell XPS by YMY (https://smile.amazon.com/stores/YMY/page/188D580C-F864-469D-B903-D2106C002A58) three stars until I used it. not particularly successful. There are some scratches and it just doesn't look 100% well made. But then I calculated the price and realized that this thing is really cheap, so - DOES IT WORK? I connected it to my Alienware M17 laptop and installed the 4GB program - and WOW, that's FAST! I warn you that while it's easy to install, it's not always clear what's going on. I had to fiddle with the installation - I don't know if it was the program or the DVD/CD-ROM. But as soon as the installation began, this thing was PURCHASED by them. That's how I got five stars. The price is very reasonable. Ease of use - it just works, more or less. It took a bit of fiddling, but it pretty much worked. Noise - it's very quiet Speed - it's lightning fast and works well. Another note: there is no button to eject the DVD - you must use a software eject. But it works great! I would absolutely recommend this DVD burner to anyone looking for a bargain or a cheap yet fast device. I do NOT recommend as a gift. Seems too cheap to give unless it was a friend who was interested in technology and not advertising. I hope this review was helpful to you.
