ok ask me about durability in a few years :- ) Nice piece packed. Drill a 1 1/8" (+) hole and install. This unit steps down 12V to a pair of 5V USB outputs. 12--> 5V 2.1A pulls down for a very long time. We will I have 3 problems with it, one big, one annoying: 1. The plastic frame that attaches it to the dash/panel is brittle, mine has started to fall apart in two places Revain are sending replacements, maybe I over stretched it but where should I get it from I know that?, there were no instructions at all (which brings us to #2) No pull torque No maximum load (relying on a fuse hidden in the dash is a bad idea) 3. It has a lighted bezel and none Switch so it draws power 24x7 and I want it to run on an unswitched line so I can charge with the car parked and powered off.The lighting is just brilliant.Now that it's LED it probably only draws 1 -2 mA, which means it's 500 hours to use 1 amp hour battery (no big deal). . but it's still stupid to drain the battery because of the chic. I bought it anyway and hope for the best. The package is too perfect.
