Not the best substitute.
Bought two of these to replace the factory GM grips with 85 C10's. The chrome is nice and I'm glad they're metal. The problem is that the handles are very difficult to turn, so the handle doesn't turn in your hand when you turn the window. Also, the spline drive installation is sloppier and seems farther from the door panel than the original GM. Bottom line, it's better than nothing and fits in a batter's car, but the problems were big enough that I ended up buying NOS GM grips.
