Review on 🔧 89073 GEARWRENCH 163-Piece 6-Point Master Socket Set - 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" Drive by Doug Virden

This kit contains every 12 point socket that Gearwrench makes in standard and deep holes. It's very full, it skips a few sizes like almost all sets do when they get big. This is a good kit made in Taiwan not China. I was told that both this set and the 163 piece 6 piece set have been discontinued. I just ordered a set of 163 but they are sold out. Their outlet organizers lack the following sizes: 1/4 drive, 4.5mm standard, 4.5mm deep, 5/8 standard and 5/8 deep, 1/2 drive, 3/8 deep, 23mm deep and Depth 25mm. includes 1/4 drive standard and 4mm-15mm deep includes 5.5mm (excluding 4.5mm) 3/8 drive 6mm-20mm deep and standard 6mm-22mm drive 1/2 8mm -30mm, 32mm and 36mm deep 10mm-22mm, 24mm, 27 mm, 30 mm and 32 mm standard drive 1/4 depth 5/32"-9/16" standard drive 3/16"-9/16" 3/8 and 1/4"-1" deep standard drive 1/2 3/8" - 1" - 1/2" deep 7/16" - 1" - 1/8" 1" 1/4" and 1-1/2 In my opinion they are at least as good as Craftsman, I think slightly better. This set is great value. If you bought all the 12 point sets and the individual sockets not included in the sets, you would get more than double the cost the only thing i think gearwrench could do better is the engraving not very easy to read and on the rosette the size is marked unevenly some of them are left or right of center that is no problem for me, I put them on marked pins so I can see the dimensions well. Make no mistake, these are discontinued kits at a great price.
