This thermometer looks high quality and the lid fits perfectly. The only problem is that it takes forever to read the temperature. Because it was very short, I had to hold it and my hand got very hot. What I also really like is that it is washable. I feel like I'm really sanitizing it. UPDATE I've had it for a few weeks and I realize it never goes above 120 even knowing the meat is well done. I wouldn't recommend it at all. I deduct my 4 stars.
