I installed this on my Synology 218+ to speed it up with the rest of the network. I have a couple of computers with a built-in 2.5Gbps port and several Unifi switches with 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps ports. After manually installing the driver on the 218+ and configuring the adapter everything worked. I don't understand some people's problems. This thing works on both my NAS laptop and Windows. Mine doesn't overheat. I copied 2TB of data at once and the speed never dropped below 240MB/s (2400Mbps) but mostly stayed at 250MB/s. My Synology 218+ has two Seagate Enterprise drives and I have no problem filling the full 2.5GB. Works great for me.
