This wood burner, which I've also used to "weld" plastic, is a decent build. The rubber-coated handle offers a good non-slip grip. The power cord was a decent length and the temperature controller was well marked and functional. The wood burner comes with a set of tips that simply screw onto the end of the wood burner and can be quickly replaced when the burner temperature is not hot. My only criticism of the wood stove is that it doesn't seem to heat enough even when cranked to maximum temperature. Trying to make an artwork on a pine whiteboard proved to be a daunting task. The burner doesn't get hot enough to ignite the wood easily, requiring multiple passes over the same area to achieve the desired effect. However, a wood burner heats up more than enough to weld plastic. Due to the insufficient temperature for use as a wood stove I would give this item 3.5 stars overall.
