Won't leave without her.

I don't know WHAT I would do if I ever rode without these grips. I've had serious hand problems riding hardtails on long trips. I use a GP1 on my hardtail but that would be too much for my FS mountain bike. They looked spot on, and it turns out they were. Most MTB riders won't need a grip like this, but my hands get a bit of a pain in my job and a little more ergonomic comfort is really good for mountain biking. Paired with my good gloves I no longer have hand problems when riding with these grips. Other riders say it has to do with bar/stem height, saddle position etc, I've gone through ALL of these. Everything about "fitting" puts me in the right position, it really depends on my hands. Here's something else that I think is important. When riding a mountain bike you often want a slack/light grip on the handlebars and sometimes you need a firm grip, depending of course on the terrain you are navigating. When I suddenly need a firm grip and more control right away, these things distribute your power more evenly. The closer you move away from your fingers and closer to your palm, the more power and strength you have in your hand. When some of that force is distributed to your DOF, you are distributing that force as a much better rod grip, resulting in less fatigue. The adhesion of pattern and material is excellent. I would advise you to ride them with gloves but I always say that mountain biking with gloves is not difficult anyway and I have NO problems with slipping at all, in all conditions, even plowing over rough terrain in the garden rocks. The collet mounting screw has not loosened or moved at all. There are many high quality pro MTB grips out there that I think are fantastic products, but because of this extra material that I really need to ride to get rid of fatigue I wouldn't use anything else. I bet they even look great on my carbon Stumpjumer with the orange Deity Black Label stripes! JSV
