Perfect Grip: Cycling

After long trail bike rides with standard grips, I had wrist and arm pain. I tried a different ergonomic grip but it didn't feel right. Then I tried the Ergon GA3 and fell in love with it straight away - no pain. Now I have them on all my bikes. The only downside is that if the end of the handlebars hits a tree, the end caps can move. I'm thinking about keeping some extra plugs handy or using some silicone glue to attach them.

  • Quality construction

  • No Automatic

Too small! in Handlebars, Headsets & Stems

I would probably like these grips if their outside diameter was larger. Small wing relieves wrist pain. However, the small diameter causes fatigue and pain in the fingers. My hands are big enough for large men's gloves. I don't know if I should try GS1, GA2 Fat, wait for Ergon to start making GA3 Fat, or look for another brand. I know I can't afford pain in my arm or wrist and I can't afford to test bike grips. Edit: I removed these handles and replaced them with SQLab 711. The 711 grips are…

Excellent handles with slight criticism

Excellent handles in general. They are comfortable and help with numb hands when positioned correctly. There are a few things to consider. 1) If they are not positioned correctly, they can cause numbness. 2) The handlebars lack grip/grip. Not sure if my arms get tired or the design of the grips doesn't allow your palm to wrap around the bar. Therefore, some of the movement of your grip is less than other designs. 3) The rubber used is non-sticky and might not be the strongest grip with gloves…

favorite pens! - Handlebars, headsets and stems

Nice grips that are very easy to assemble and the angle can be adjusted with a hex tool. I agreed with the sizing suggestion from other reviews and ordered one size which ran small (which is what I wanted). Small is ideal for small women's hands and large children. The winged shape definitely helps keep my wrists from falling off. My hands are still numb, but my wrists feel a lot better than with standard grips. My only complaint is the surface, without gloves it's quite uncomfortable due to…

Solved my wrist pain

I was skeptical about the Ergon grip. I tried the original grip many years ago but found that the platform under my hand and wrist was too large and limited my movement on the uneven bars. I bought the GA 3 a year ago because I had left wrist pain while riding. The GA 3 gives me just enough support under the heel of my hand to keep my wrist from hyperextending without overly restricting movement. My wrist pain is gone. The grip is not too firm, but offers enough softness and the material is…

Amazing shots! The pain in my wrist is almost gone.

These ergonomic grips are great and almost reduced my wrist pain. I'm still getting used to them. So that you can get rid of wrist pain. I suggest you take a few trips and take your tools with you to set the grips up properly. My first ride left my fingers and hands numb. I've done a few rides, done a few trail adjustments and the pain in my wrist is almost gone, the numbness is definitely gone. I ride about 10-30km a week. At first I had my doubts about how they look, I thought it looked weird

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

I almost got rid of my arm numbness

After a 10+ year hiatus from cycling I tuned up my old Nishiki Colorado and hit the trails and roads for cardio and fresh air. It was great to ride again, but my hands got numb every time I rode. I tried different handlebar and saddle positions but the numbness persisted. The great reviews motivated me to try these argon pens. They are easy to install. I set them to the recommended UP mark position. After two months of skiing, the numbness in my hands was almost completely gone. They take a bit

  • Outstanding Overall Performance

  • Protection

Won't leave without her.

I don't know WHAT I would do if I ever rode without these grips. I've had serious hand problems riding hardtails on long trips. I use a GP1 on my hardtail but that would be too much for my FS mountain bike. They looked spot on, and it turns out they were. Most MTB riders won't need a grip like this, but my hands get a bit of a pain in my job and a little more ergonomic comfort is really good for mountain biking. Paired with my good gloves I no longer have hand problems when riding with these…
