Review on Waterfall Filter: Premium GE MWF Compatible Refrigerator Water Filter by Marlin Atonyo

after five years of spending $45 on a GE OEM filter I decided to try this much cheaper filter and i wish i had one. I didn't notice any problems/strange noises during the installation, so I thought everything was fine. When I checked the water dispenser on the front of the fridge, all I got was a small trickle of water. I reinstalled the old GE filter and it didn't improve the situation. I read several other one star reviews and found a very similar issue where part of the filter assembly was damaged. I checked mine quickly and in fact I had the same problem. I replaced the filter assembly, installed a new GE OEM filter, and now my water system works just like it did the day I bought the fridge. I've attached an image showing the damaged part. This is not my photo but it does indicate a part that was damaged in my filter assembly.
