Review on 🚲 Ultrawall Bike Storage Rack: Wall Mount Hanger for 6 Bikes | Home & Garage Storage | Holds up to 300lbs by Jeremiah Vishwasrao

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is a 4 star bike rack with 4 bikes (6 bikes is too many). Could use some improvements.

Bought to store four bikes in our garage. We have six and it is a 6 bike rack but you cannot put six bikes on it. Unless your three bikes are for five year olds. It's 4 feet in diameter, and even with bikes that alternate front wheel up/front wheel down, getting past six would be almost impossible. My opinion, but I'm sure the manufacturer will say otherwise. My mounting location wasn't on the wall so I had to put in a 2" x 4" bezel to make it work. If I were to mount it directly to a wall, I would recommend putting a 5" to 6" pre-painted molding on the wall to protect it from tire marks (both top and bottom tires). For my setup, I'm going to install a pair of 1.5" PVC pipes horizontally across the railing to keep the bikes upright. The instructions were terrible. They also sell this mounting rack with garden tool hooks and that's what my instructions showed. no word on finding a bolt so it can support the weight of whatever bikes you want to hang from it, just six or seven vague suggestions. Ideally if you want to mount this on a wall I would attach a 1 x 4 inch strip to three studs (studs should be 16 inches apart) with 3 inch screws going into the studs. Then use the included screws to mount the 1" x 4" bike rack. I also don't know how much pressure is put on the rim of the tire you put on the hook (or steerer tube) since it carries almost all of the weight. For the price it's not bad.
