It got worse over time.

Update 07/19/21 I've never found an easy solution to my hot-swap problems with Displayport and can run at 30Hz at 4K on my work laptop, so the KVM switch was only added for keyboard and uses mouse. This worked well for the most part for a month, except for the occasional use of just the mouse and not the keyboard. Disconnecting everything and then reconnecting it will fix the first inclusion. Uncomfortable? Yes, but it was all on my desk with just enough cable slack to make it easier. Til today. Came home, plugged in the laptop and turned on the desktop. There is no keyboard. Disable everything. while only the mouse works. Turn everything off and leave it disabled for a few minutes. Is working. Then after about 15 minutes I hear a Windows warning to disconnect the USB and the mouse and keyboard are completely dead. I've tried powering the box on and off a few times, changing the ports the devices are connected to are plugged in etc. Completely dead except for the lights on PC 1/PC 2. Updated 5/30/21. Previous issues aside, having been working reliably since my review was originally posted, it started switching my USB devices unreliably. From time to time when switching between computers, the video switches, but the keyboard and mouse do not. So far, this has only been tested with the Logitech G613 and G502. As I write this review I was just using PC 1, switched to 2 to reply to an email and now switching back to 1 I get no response from my keyboard or mouse. I'm still working on PC 2 and I can hear USB plugging/unplugging on PC 1 when I switch back and forth. Works great at 4k. The only problem I had is that when toggling, the display doesn't switch to the connected computers. between machines. Example: I have 3 displays on my desk and am using a switch to control my "main" 4k panel. Machine 1 has two panels that are connected directly and one that is connected to a switch. Machine 2 is only connected to the DP switch. When switching between computers, Computer 1 thinks its main monitor is off, so all windows, taskbar, etc. are moved to the remaining two directly connected panels. I haven't had these issues with DVI or HDMI KVM switches in the past. This is partly a standard DisplayPort issue and partly an OS issue related to handling hotplug events with DP monitors. Possibly more expensive DP switches include a spoofing feature similar to other switches I've used in the past: either/both spoof USB device IDs for all connected devices/HDMI EDIDs so connected devices don't believe the USB -Devices are permanently connected and disabled when switching between machines. This switch also doesn't forge USB devices, but the switch is fast enough that it's not a big issue for me. If you're looking for this switch for the traditional two-computer, one-monitor situation, it's a great value. If you have a more complex setup like mine, you might need a different switch, or you might need some OS-level workarounds to get your machines to show hotplug events.
