Neapolitan Yellow is a soft, warm yellow reminiscent of wheat or sunflowers.

Daniel Smith is one of my favorite watercolor brands! Neapolitan Yellow is a soft, warm yellow reminiscent of wheat or sunflowers. This shade definitely makes me think of summer. Neapolitan Yellow has excellent lightfastness, is translucent and does not stain or granulate watercolors. These tubes are very good value for money and the pigments are highly concentrated. I use them to fill pots and once set they always wet easily. Daniel Smith offers some unusual and unique pigments, notably the Primatek line - Moon Black is just gorgeous. I also love the signature color blends of Undersea Green, Moonglow, and Hematite Genuine, which offer some unique properties useful for textures and atmospheric techniques.
