I've spent some time getting it to work but I don't think it will work. The dock itself is recognized by the computer as a USB drive, but any hard drive I put in it isn't recognized or acknowledged at all, nothing happens, no fuss can find and access it. I've tried this with multiple hard drives (one of which came from a computer that I know works) and connected to multiple different computers to no avail. I guess it's still possible I'm doing something wrong since there's no documentation, but it's meant to be completely plug and play, so *why* there's no documentation. I can't imagine what else I could do: dock the hard drive, plug in and turn on, plug in the computer, maybe not in that order. Not sure if shipping is worth it. I firmly believe that the positive reviews made for a better experience than me, but I think that's one of the risks you take when you buy cheap: you can get a good product, but it's not always reliable .
