My 86ft 4Runner has A LOT of rust that I'm slowly removing. When filling a large hole in the body, this fiberglass cloth works great. It's a nice thick weave that adheres well to the resin and covers large gaps. I like to cut it into 2 inch strips for work. First I clean the inside of the hole with 2 part resin and put some fiberglass cloth in the hole and press it against the back of the hole so it catches with the resin I placed there. I then smear the fiberglass strips with resin and press them against the hole and onto the existing fiberglass mesh to ensure it fits the body area around the hole. I criss-cross layer by layer until I have multiple woven layers, applying resin directly to the fabric as needed to bond them together or attach them to the bodywork. Don't worry about adding too much, you can always sand it down after it's cured. Then go over the bondo to prepare the smooth surface for priming.
